Develop your effective and rigorous schoolwide safeguarding culture and ensure outstanding systems and leadership

#oeSafeguarding

Why is this conference relevant?

'Schools have a vital role in safeguarding children. They are the only agency that has daily contact with all children,' Ealing Grid for Learning.

As a safeguarding leader, taking a strategic view to enhance your schoolwide culture, processes and procedures is vital. How are you developing your action plan to ensure you are leading the way in child protection, making effective use of data and intelligence to proactively protect your commmunity?

Governance, whole staff training, compliance and quality assurance are key to outstanding safeguarding practice. Our one day conference will give you the chance to network with other education safeguarding leaders, renew your strategies and come away enthused and connected with the safeguarding community with a clear strategy for the upcoming year.

What can I expect?

Chaired by legal partner, Dai Durbridge (Browne Jacobson LLP), the conference offers a choice of nine practical workshops, enabling you to tailor the day to your needs. However long you have been a safeguarding leader, you'll find new ideas, reassurance and strategies to sharpen your practice and strengthen your culture, systems and responses.

We'll move beyond establishing solid foundations to developing a 5-point plan and a strategy that future proofs your safeguarding team. From embedding consistency and continuous development, take your safeguarding to the next level with a school or trust-wide approach where you can evidence your culture, compliance and cohesive community.

Gain strategies to use your safeguarding intelligence - from engaging your communities to working effectively with other agencies. Analyse your data and use it proactively to plan pastoral and curriculum interventions and approaches that equip the children in your care to understand, recognise and respond to risks and harms.
