Lesley de Meza, Consultant, Trainer and Writer at Lesley de Meza Ltd

Lesley has over 40 years’ experience in education, health and media. She is known for her input to PSHE and has worked with a wide range of organisations including NICE, DfE and DoH. She was Vice Chair of Trustees for a sexual health charity and is an Associate Trainer for the National Children’s Bureau and Brook. She has recently produced a PSHE scheme of work covering Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4 for The Health Education Partnership.

Ceri Seal, Designated Safe Guard Lead, Longleaze Primary School

Ceri Seal’s roles as Pastoral Manager, PSHE Subject Lead, Child Protection Lead and Healthy Schools Coordinator at Longleaze Primary School, Royal Wootton Bassett allow her to pursue her passion for children’s safety, health and well-being by combining working with individual children and developing the school’s ethos in this area.

Claire Smith, Education Consultant

Clare is an independent education consultant, specialising in PSHE, SRE and wellbeing. She was a senior education adviser in South London and managed a tri-borough Healthy Schools Partnership for 11 years. Prior to this she worked in an inner London school for 12 years. She is now Director of 3Di Associates.

Andrew Moffat, Assistant Headteacher, Parkfield Community School

Andrew is Assistant Headteacher at a large inner city primary school in Birmingham. He is the author of “No Outsiders in our school: Teaching the Equality Act in Primary Schools” and is noted for work with faith communities on LGBT equality.

Donald Hawkey, Consultant, Former Head of PSHE

Donald was head of PSHE in a large coeducational boarding school. Over a number of years, he pushed for PSHE to be recognised as a subject that has earned its place in a crowded curriculum. Under his leadership, the team of specialist PSHE teachers ensure that it retains its dynamism and credibility with pupils, staff and parents.

Stephen De Silva, Education Consultant

Stephen is an experienced teacher and former head of PSHE, now an independent consultant, with over 35 years’ service in education and health sectors. He delivers PSHE and pastoral programmes for staff across the UK and with British schools in Europe and SE Asia.

Kate Daniels, Consultant & Teacher, PSHEeducation

Kate taught as a class teacher and PSHE Lead for over a decade. She now runs PSHEeducation where she spends her time educating children, teenagers and their parents on how to deal with life in the modern world through her school sessions and writing.

Jane Lees, Chair, Sex Education Forum

Jane Lees is Chair of the Sex Education Forum, a unique collaboration of organisations committed to improving SRE for children and young people. A former biology teacher and school inspector, and an experienced trainer, Jane currently steers the national campaign for statutory SRE.

Dr Polly Haste, Training Lead, Sex Education Forum

Dr Polly Haste leads on the Sex Education Forum’s national training portfolio. Polly works with training associates to develop courses on themes such as consent, LGBT-inclusive SRE and child-sexual exploitation. She has a PhD from Goldsmiths College and has published widely on sex and relationships education, gender and sexual rights

Marilyn Hawes, Founder and CEO of Enough Abuse UK

EAUK delivers ground breaking education on preventing abuse and has revolutionised safeguarding training with proven results of identifying those at risk and those who ARE the risk. The training covers every angle from how we create an abuser to how they think and behave and how those impacted by grooming and abuse behave. We focus on behaviours– which is crucial information. The learning is experiential by way of demonstration and unique use of visuals

Marilyn regularly speaks to the Media, public, organisations, schools, conferences, parents and children across the UK to break the culture of silence and resistance educating people with correct, relevant and vital information to prevent child sexual abuse and tune into their instincts.

David Marshall, Headteacher, Cale Green Primary School

With over 25 years’ experience in primary education, David has been Headteacher at Cale Green Primary School in Stockport for 16 years. Cale Green is a truly comprehensive school with children coming from a wide range of socio-economic, cultural and faith backgrounds. Under David’s leadership, Cale Green’s work in PSHE has been recognised nationally and there is a published Ofsted case study on the school’s successful approach to Relationships and Sex Education. PSHE is seen as an integral part of the school’s broad and balanced curriculum. David is also a Local Leader of Education and has held various roles including that of Chair of the Stockport Excellence Cluster.
