Learn how to conduct the ‘courageous conversation’ with underperforming colleagues while maintaining a solution-focused manner.
In this unit you will look at how to embark on the courageous conversation in a supportive and collaborative manner. The unit will introduce techniques and questioning skills from coaching and solution focused counselling in order to reduce defensiveness, overcome denial and enter the ‘conflict as opportunity’ mode.
Having considered the challenges and difficulties around working with and supporting difficult colleagues, this unit will support you to hold a constructive, coaching conversation.
