Deborah Michel
Deborah Michel is a senior adviser within the National Strategy leading on Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) in both primary and secondary school.
She has been a key contributor to the development and writing of both Primary and Secondary SEAL.
Deborah is by profession an educational psychologist with a long interest in social and emotional skills. In 1994 she devised the Cumbria Behaviour Curriculum, a wholeschool approach to promoting social and emotional skills, and worked with colleagues in schools to develop materials to support it.
She has long experience within education having taught in primary, secondary and special schools then as an educational psychologist.
She was co-author of a successful series of text books, Headwork, published by Oxford University Press in 1984.
