Step 8: Summary and reflection
Summary and reflection
- Sexual exploitation can happen to any child, in any community.
- Grooming takes place in the community as well as online and begins as a simple offer of friendship.
- Sexually exploited children are victims, not criminals.
- You are in a unique position to identify warning signs and contribute to pupils’ safety.
- Any concerns should be reported to the DSP or a senior manager. You don’t need ‘hard evidence’.
