Antony Barton, Head of English, Putney High School GDST

Antony's work on progressive marking and feedback has appeared in titles such as TES, Impact, The Telegraph and The Spectator. Recent radio interviews have included discussing the benefits of symbol-only marking with Vanessa Feltz on BBC Radio London.


Christalla Jamil, Headteacher, Eastfield Primary School

Christalla started teaching in 2004 as a class teacher with TLR2b and Training School responsibilities becoming a Consultant Leader and an Advanced Skills Teacher. She became an AHT for 2 years, then an Ofsted inspector and then was in post as a DHT, quickly turning into Acting Headteacher within her first year.


 

David Weston, Chief Executive, Teacher Development Trust

David Weston is the founder and Chief Executive of the Teacher Development Trust, and the Chair of the Department for Education’s Teacher Development Expert Group. He is an author, school governor and a former secondary maths and physics teacher.


Dilip Kadodwala, Educational Consultant and Ex HMI

Dilip is an independent educational consultant. He has retired as Her Majesty's Inspector of Schools. He served Ofsted in that role for 18 years, carrying out a very wide range of duties, including inspecting schools and quality assuring inspections. Since retiring, Dilip has provided training for school governors and conducted school reviews in preparation for Ofsted inspections.


Jeremy Hannay, Headteacher, Three Bridges Primary

Jeremy is Headteacher of Three Bridges Primary School in West London. He has worked in both Canada and England as an educator and is passionate about creating the conditions under which teachers and pupils flourish.  He believes passionately in growing schools that are characterised by cultures of trust, agency, collaboration and happiness.


Joanna Feast, MBPsS, MSc, BSc. Education and Wellbeing Constultant, Clean Well-Being

Joanna Feast is a teacher, trainer and consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the field of health education. She believes that wellbeing can be achieved and maintained by utilising solution-focused thinking, emotional literacy and assertiveness skills. Joanna runs her own wellbeing and fitness business, Clean Well-Being.


Julia Watson, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, Oxford Family Hypnotherapy

Julia was a classroom teacher for over twenty years and worked in Primary, Secondary and a PRU setting, specialising in emotional health. Julia’s work as a Solution-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist, coupled with her extensive understanding of the entire learner journey, gives her a unique and revolutionary perspective on staff and pupil wellbeing. Julia is also an advisor for Optimus Education's ‘Wellbeing Award for Schools’ and writes regularly for the Optimus Education Blog.


Julian Stanley, Chief Executive Officer, Education Support Partnership

Julian’s career has encompassed the civil service, local government, community and economic regeneration, theatre, outdoor music events, arts education in schools and teaching.  Julian served as Chair of the Cambridge and Peterborough Learning Trust and East London Dance Ltd and was a founder of Stratford Circus Arts Venue in East London. Julian writes a fortnightly column in SecED and recently contributed to “Managing Teacher Workload: A Whole-School Approach to Finding the Balance” recently published by John Catt.


Kate O’Connor, Headteacher, Lessness Heath Primary

Kate has taught in and led schools in challenging circumstances throughout her career spanning a twenty-year period.  She strongly believes in positive relationship school cultures that look after and protect the wellbeing of the whole school community. Kate is the headteacher of a three form Primary school in the South East.


Kelly Hannaghan, Wellbeing Leader, Lessness Heath Primary

Kelly is the Wellbeing Leader at Lessness Heath Primary School and has spent her professional career passionately focusing on enhancing the opportunities and life chances of pupils and families in education. Through the power of her mental health training and therapeutic skills, she has successfully led on the ‘Wellbeing Award for Schools’ process, resulting in the school being the first to achieve this.


Mike Lamb, Director of Staff and Pupil Wellbeing, Hurstpierpoint College

Mike spent many years running expeditions and projects internationally, being lucky enough to kayak the length of Lake Malawi, build sand dams in Kenya and work as an expedition guide in the Amazon. He has also worked as a Head of Year, Housemaster and is presently Director of Staff and Pupil Wellbeing at Hurstpierpoint College, Sussex.


 

Sue Birchall, School Business Manager, The Malling High School

A School Business Manager with over fifteen years’ experience across primary and secondary education in maintained and academy schools, Sue achieved her BA Hons in School Business Management in 2009. Sue is also a conference speaker, trainer, consultant and contributor of articles for various education publications. Other professional contributions are as an SLE and on the school’s funding forum for her LA.
