Why is this conference relevant?
44,626 appeals were heard for 2016/17 entry into English schools.
22,031 (49.4%) of appeals heard were for entry into Academy schools and 23% of those appeals were upheld, resulting in 5,067 additional school places being offered.*
Oversubscription in good and outstanding schools continues to be a pressing issue and appeals are a time-consuming and costly process. It is therefore essential to have a robust admissions and appeals system in your academy in order to manage your pupil intake effectively whilst remaining compliant.
