Mastery Learning and Assessment in Primary

Thursday 23 Mar 2017
Barbican conference centre, London

Why is this conference relevant?

The DfE recently announced a period of relative consistency for primary assessment. However, with guidance still intermittent, limited support provided and a lack of standardisation across the country, how can you ensure and monitor the progress of all pupils across your primary school?

This conference will provide practical, hands-on guidance to develop a mastery approach to learning in reading, writing and maths. Gain the skills to develop staff confidence, ensure consistency and drive progress across your school.

What can I expect?

In-depth keynotes with leading experts and a choice of workshops including:

  • Develop standardised judgements across staff to ensure consistency of interpretation
  • Know how to assess, track and measure learning within a mastery context
  • Learn how common mastery techniques in maths can be transferred to reading and writing
  • Use data effectively to inform meaningful interventions and positive classroom results

This will be a vital opportunity, using real examples, to make a collective judgement on standards of work to ensure consistency.
